Flag Football and Sippy Cups

Braydon started playing Flag Football. Practices and games run through the first week of November. They are all still learning the game, and seem to be enjoying themselves. Unfortunately it's been very cold the last 2 Saturdays that we've had games. Usually, Braydon plays quarterback.

Recently, we've started giving Noah the Gerber Graduate puff snack to promote acceptance of texture in the mouth. He's still not too sure about them and though he makes a good effort to get them from the tray to the mouth, his hand-eye coordination is not quite there. We also tried a sippy cup to let him play and get used to it. He's getting there... :)

Lately, Noah has started to grab the spoon every time you offer a spoonful of food. Unfortunately, that means a BIG mess with every bite. One day, Daddy accidentally had one of his arms that got left down under the tray, making it MUCH easier to feed him. Mommy perfected this glorious mistake by closing BOTH arms under the tray, completely eliminating the chance for messes. Sounds cruel, but as you can see below, he doesn't seem to be too bothered by it! As long as it means food is coming, he's a happy camper!
